Trey Murray leads the media team and a small group on Wednesday nights at Bar Cross Cowboy Church. He has completed several life group studies on many subjects including training in Evangelism Explosion. While in college, Trey was a member of the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship (MBSF) where he met Rob Leonard, the campus minister there. Trey credits Rob with starting him along the path that God laid out for him. It was by Rob's grace and discipline that Trey was able to truly understand what being a Christian was about. Trey also joined the honorary fraternity The Knights of the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
While attending UAM, Trey met his wife Brandy and asked for her hand in marriage. Miraculously, she agreed.
After transferring to the University of Texas at Arlington, Trey joined the Baptist Student Ministry. While attending UTA, Trey also wrote for the school newspaper, The Shorthorn. It was here that he wrote a story shortly after 9-11 where he interviewed the Imam at a Muslim mosque. He credits this interview with helping him have compassion and see the world through someone else's eyes.
Now as the leader of the adult class at BCCC, Trey uses his lifetime of lessons to teach others what God impresses on his heart.
