I'm Trey Murray.
When I started my journey in Judo, I weighed nearly 375 lbs. I couldn't walk across a room without losing my breath, and I wasn't comfortable in any position.
In 4 short years, I managed to drop over 100 lbs, obtaining my first dan black belt, and gaining a new family of martial arts partners along the way. Judo isn't just a sport or hobby to me, it is a way of life. I fell in love with Judo, and I want you to as well.
I teach Judo at AKF Martial Arts in Burleson, TX, and I am available for private lessons and seminars almost anywhere in the D/FW Metroplex. I concentrate on technique to neutralize opponents with strength, size, and weight differentials.
Give your team a competitive advantage by learning the basics of Judo principles and having fun along the way.
You will learn everything from basic Judo grips to complex combo throws sure to help your team ground their opponents with minimal effort.
You have to learn to crawl before you can walk, and you have to learn to tread water before you can swim. Basic building blocks are key to pulling off complex combinations. Learn your basics here: Judo grips, Judo stances, Judo terminology, Judo philosophy, and more.
Learn Japanese and English names for every technique in Judo. Learn the terminology for Nage Waza, Shime Waza, Kansetsu Waza, and more. I'm adding more information and videos all the time, so check back often and continue learning Judo!
Equip your team with effective take-downs utilizing time tested Judo techniques. We'll start with learning to safely fall and move to simple throws. By the end of the seminar, your students will learn a few combos to propel them to victory in Judo tournaments, and in life.
