“…SO THAT THEY MAY BE BROUGHT TO COMPLETE UNITY THEN THE WORLD WILL KNOW THAT YOU HAVE SENT ME AND HAVE LOVED THEM.”
– Jesus’ prayer in John 17:23
As a lifelong video gamer, I am very familiar with the reset button. I’ve beef admonished by my dad many times for angrily pressing the reset button when I find myself overwhelmed by the game opponents.
In life there is no reset button. No way to return to the beginning, retaining the same knowledge about your right and wrong decisions in life, or is there?
It is true we cannot be physically reborn, but we can be spiritually reborn. When our decisions catch us in an overwhelming spiritual situation, God is willing to reset us, but we must ask Him to do so.
God knows when you sincerely want a reset. He works in amazing and unpredictable ways. At the concert my daughter and I attended Saturday, they showed how in the 1900s, people prayed for revival and it came. In the 1940s, a group of young people prayed again for revival, and it swept across the nation in every major city. In the 1970s, Billy Graham traveled the country and revival once again spread like wildfire.
The Hebrew nation repeatedly turned from God, but he was quick to reset them when they confessed and repented of their ways. Let’s ask God to hit the reset button for us, today, now. I don’t know about you, but I want to see a true revival in America like we’ve never seen before.
