Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-21

When I went to live with my birth father shortly after high school, our relationship devolved from amicable to anger. He resented my flippant view of life and I hated what I viewed as his abusive discipline.

The truth was somewhere between our two views. I tend to ignore the stress of issues and focus on solutions, and he overreacted to situations to increase my awareness to issues.

We grew apart, only speaking to one another out of duty rather than love. It took the death of his brother, my uncle, to reconcile us.

God has done nothing to earn our anger. He is actively pursuing us to reconcile our relationship with Him. His love compels us to rebuild a bond with Him so strong, Satan cannot tear it apart.

Will you answer God’s call of love?

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” – 2 Corinthians 11:14
