Patience

“With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,” – Ephesians 4:2

This is the fruit I think I’m stuck on – patience. I especially lack this fruit of the spirit when driving.

I’ve prayed and prayed that God would deliver me patience, but he keeps putting roadblocks to peace in my way…

You see, that’s how God works. He does not want to give us patience, he wants us to learn it. It’s like asking him to give you math. He knows if he gives you knowledge in that area you will not use or appreciate it. If you learn it, you earned it. You appreciate it and never forget it.

It took all the patience I could muster in 9th grade to learn algebra. I thought I’d never use that useless math in my life again. I’m now a web designer, and zero resize photos and videos, I use it at least once a month.

I appreciate that I have the know how, just as I’m sure I will appreciate patience, once I learn it.

“And endurance produces character, and character produces hope,” – Romans 5:4
