Living Water

Read John 7:32-39

Living water.

That’s what Jesus said will flow from ones who believe in Him. Out of the heart will flow living water. He said this about the Holy Spirit.

What does water do? It quenches thirst and is the long term solution to dehydration, but it is so much more.

It washes away dirt, grime, filth. We are to produce this living water to help others wash away the filth and trash from their lives.

It preserves food when frozen. We are to preserve people by surrounding them and showering them with love. We are to lift them up and make them feel loved and needed.

It cooks when boiling. We are to “cook” the hearts of people, thawing out the hardened hearts and igniting them for God. We do this by being an example and sharing our positive experiences with God.

Living water, sprung from a well in our hearts, can transform the world. Allow Christ to transform others through you by sharing your living water…

“On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” – John 7:37-39
