Galatians 6:9-10 ESV

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

After your partner is off balance and supported by your weight, the last thing you want to do is stall. Sitting still allows your partner to regain their balance and composure, putting you in a very vulnerable position.

In the Christian walk, we are battling sin. So often, just when we think we have it conquered, we stall, and it leaves us vulnerable. If we don’t keep growing and learning with Christ, we slide back into our old habits, patterns, and ultimately, our sins.

Hebrews 10:35-36 ESV

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.

If you keep going to complete the throw, rather than stopping, you are rewarded with the slap of your opponent hitting the mat.

If you persevere with Christ, you will receive His rewards, which are more precious than silver and gold!
