Once the throw has been completed, you hold on to your partner’s arm (if it is a throw involving the arm). This allows you to move directly in to a submission move, but more importantly, it allows you to help your partner get into position for the fall.
Philippians 4:4-7 ESV
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Hanging on to Christ through hard times softens the blow we take when we fall. It puts us in a position to submit our sins to His will. Many times, I have started with an addictive sin only to pull away from my faith and attempted to “get right” before coming back to God. Then I am reminded of the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). I don’t have to be perfect or sinless to return to God. I just have to return to God and let Him cleanse my sin.
Being saved is not about a license to sin, but it is a safety net when we find ourselves falling into a sinful lifestyle.
