God has bestowed spiritual gifts on us all. I used to think I was useless to God because I wasn’t gifted with being an apostle, or a prophet, teacher, miracle worker, healing, helping, administrating, nor can I speak in or interpret tongues.
It took some soul searching and encouragement from an acquaintance to show me the gift for teaching I have through writing.
I would have never dreamed of being a church administrator, but God in His infinite wisdom prepared be technologically by giving me a love for computers and guiding me to broadcasting in college. Now I run the media at my church.
I’ve never wanted to help others, but any opportunity I’ve had lately, I’ve jumped at the chance I had to pitch in.
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” – Romans 11:29
Once you not only accept Jesus, but embrace Him, your life drastically changes. I used to look in disdain and resentment on others whom God had given greater gifts. I now see they would not succeed without support from God and the people he puts in their life with complimenting spiritual gifts.
I urge you to get involved in church, move for Christ. Find your spiritual gift and use it. We need you. God wants you. Jesus is calling you.
“so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;” – Romans 12:5-6
“Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts.” – 1 Corinthians 12:27-31
