Read 1 Chronicles 16:8-34

I’m looking forward to death.

No, I do not have a death wish. I’m not looking to die, but I’m ready to meet my maker.

From the moment I made the choice to follow Jesus, I have been ready. In this life exists hurt, pain, disease, famine, pestilence, death.

Once in the presence of The Lord my God, all evil will be replaced with every good thing imaginable. My best day on Earth will not even come close to being as good as my worst day in Heaven.

As much as I love to sing praise and worship songs here on Earth, in Heaven that joy will be magnified.

It’s like a kid waiting to go to Disney World. I know I have to wait until it is time, but when it is, I want to make the most of it.

I must be sure to pack what I need. What I need is a temple pleasing to God. I need to clean house and release the bonds sin has on me. I am working on removing old habits from my life.

I must also pack fellow human beings with me. Neighbors are the one specific thing Jesus tells us to pack. We are to love them and draw them close to God.

Do you know you are going to Heaven after you pass? Are you packing for the trip? We do not know the hour or manner, so please, start packing.
