Read John 15:1-11
Jesus is the way.
So cliche, but so true. Jesus says He is the way, the truth, and the life. In today’s passage, he asks us to abide in Him and His love. He is the vine, and we are the branches. We can do nothing to advance God’s kingdom apart from Jesus. Yes, Jesus is the answer, another true cliche.
We must stay connected to Jesus at all times, and realize that our preferences and comfort hold no sway over Our Father In Heaven. We are nothing compared to God, yet each one of us is worth everything to God. We are worth so much, God not only sacrificed His Son for us, He wants us to be in constant communion with Him.
Are you a branch of the living vine, or a dead twig, spouting cliches? Are you campaigning for God, or are you experiencing His love? It is not enough to proclaim His sovereignty and His glory, for even Satan does this. You must be in fellowship with God through reading His word and spending time with Him in prayer. Will you be a living branch, or a dead branch?
“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” – John 15:10-11
