Trey Murray - Christian
Growing up, I fostered many of the misconceptions about a Christian. I thought that being raised in a Christian home made me one. Going to Church makes someone a Christian about as much as going to a garage makes them a car. When I started making wrong choices, I wanted to hide them, fearing that I would bring shame to God. I found that Christians are strongest when they are weak. The full reliance on God is what separates our faith from other religions.
Christian principles and values are easy to verbalize, but more difficult to demonstrate. It is my goal that people know my faith not by my words, but by my actions. While I believe that doing good works will not get me to Heaven, James says 'Faith without works is dead'. Any Christian should be known for their actions and not by their words alone.
